Andreas Kraus is the managing director of Kraus Hardware GmbH and has been active in electronics development and manufacturing for more than three decades. A trained electrical engineer, he combines technical expertise with entrepreneurial experience and understands the requirements of EMS companies firsthand. While working in the electronics laboratory of the Institute for Nuclear Physics at the Technical University of Darmstadt, he founded his company in 1992, initially as a sole proprietorship, and built it up alongside his employment. During this time, he also developed the first ADwin measurement and control systems, which have since evolved into an internationally established product family for deterministic real-time applications with nanosecond precision.
Two years later, Andreas Kraus decided to become self-employed. Under his leadership, Kraus Hardware GmbH developed into a high-performing, broadly diversified EMS provider encompassing development, manufacturing, testing technology, X-ray analysis, rework, and box build. Among the completed projects are receiver modules for the German Space Situational Awareness Centre.
