Matthias Holsten is the Managing Director of Holsten e² consulting GmbH and is one of the most experienced consultants in the German-speaking EMS industry. With more than 25 years of experience in development, manufacturing, and management, he has firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing the electronics industry and helps companies tap into growth potential and successfully implement change.

His solid technical training and many years of leadership experience form the foundation of his consulting work. For seven years, he served as managing director of a renowned E²MS company, where he was responsible for the company’s strategic and operational development. During this time, he gained in-depth knowledge of optimizing business and manufacturing processes, as well as establishing high-performing organizational structures.

For over a decade, Matthias Holsten has been advising EMS providers and OEMs as a consultant on the further development of their business models. His areas of focus include optimizing sales structures, designing change processes, managing outsourcing projects, and providing M&A support for corporate acquisitions and divestitures. As the founder and initiator of EMS SCOUT, he analyzes the EMS market, increases the visibility of EMS service providers, and advocates for greater transparency and competitiveness in the European EMS landscape.
